So, let´s go back to the year 1997, back
into the last century.
It wasn´t the most memorable of times for many Jimmy fans who in their
hungry search through the infinite maze of the World Wide Web, found little
to satisfy their craving.
Then it happened, some guy had the bright idea to create a Jimmy Somerville
fanpage, setting out on the journey to feed the starving. Who was this
bright guy? A white knight to the rescue? Some of you know him as Iwi...
yes, the one who was so infatuated with the song "I Feel Love" back in 1985
that Jimmy Somerville was destined to become a big part of his life
afterwards.

However, it took a while for anything to happen in the wonderful World
Wide Web as Iwi was so busy working on a Jimmy biography, which was to
be the basis of the web page and which, to this day,has never ever been
published. (Let´s not hold our breathe!)
That hungry swarm of Jimmy fans however eventually found white knight
Iwis´ creation on the web and with word getting about, the number of
´log ins´ grew from day to day. One of these ´log ins` happened to be
very dedicated fan called Heiko. He was of course amazed at this
discovery while surfing one day on the waves of the web… jumping with
joy at the aspect of being able to find, swap and create information for
Jimmy fans from around the world. Heiko decided to come on board in
1998 and he together with Iwi set out to give Jimmy his rightful place
on the web. Thus, the adventure began for both "Knights of the Jimmy
Realm".
A few months passed and the fanpage grew and grew and became a popular
place, also on an international basis, for a lot of fans.

In 1999 rumors of new music were
confirmed when the Album "Manage The Damage" surfaced. The time was
ripe for both Knights Of The Jimmy Realm to get on their horses, gallop
to their internet-provider and secure a good name for their realm;
www.jimmysomerville.de / www.jimmysomerville.com. It was just before
then that they met Maik, a lonley knight who was longing for some Jimmy
companions and who, in his own desperation for information, created the
web page www.jimmysomerville-compilation.com . Hestitant at the
beginning, Maik decided to unite forces with Iwi and Heiko and thus the
Knights Of The Jimmy Realm became three. Together, in their battle for
a better world, they worked together on the fanpage
www.jimmysomerville.de /com.
With bound strength the all three knights created a place where that
swarm of followers could be informed about Jimmys actions, whereabouts
and unique music. This involved the first reconstruction of the fanpage
giving it a new face for the new millenium. All their combined talents
were utilized to the full with their efforts being recognised and
confirmed by the rising numbers of visitors to this fanpage.
Iwi, Heiko und Maik update this fanpage on a regular basis (the current
stand of things can be seen of course) have found alot in common
throughout this work and have become friends in the process.
Should you ever meet one of the Knights Of The Jimmy Realm, show honour
and willingness to help him in his battle against the "Empire Of Stupid
Music" and may their appreciation be with you!
